Did You Know?

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Sociologists, ecologists, and economists alike see Haiti as a "nightmare gone bad." Factors such as high infant mortality, disease, illiteracy, poor education, over population, deforestation, soil erosion, rapid urbanization, high unemployment and a weak infrastructure, all combine to bring misery to the people of Haiti.

Our Mission Statement

The Friends of Haiti is a nonprofit organization operating as one interconnected family with the people living in the four sections of Thomazeau, Haiti. We are devoted, through our mutual efforts, to improve their health, education and economic development.

FoH is a 501 (c) (3) organization that is fully supported by volunteers. 98% of donations go directly into the work in Haiti.
